EARTH gnomes are a great addition to the growing range of wooden dolls.
Papoose Felt Care Instructions: Papoose felt is made of 100% pure wool and is therefore cleaned in the same way as wool.
Founded in 1991 by Australian Renske Carbone, Papoose Toys and Creative Wood Company, under the Colors of Australia umbrella, produce natural toys and parts for unlimited creative play. Working with natural materials, production takes place in small communities in Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia. The pure wool felt toys and parts are handmade at fair wage rates. Creative Wood Company products are made primarily from furniture industry waste, with wood supplied exclusively by timber traders who meet the SVLK timber legality audit.
For liquid spills: Wool is naturally water-repellent and if spills are treated immediately, wool will not absorb much liquid. How to clean: Blot the liquid with a damp cloth, repeat with a clean, damp cloth, and allow the item to dry.
For dust and other dirt: Due to the scales in the wool's structure, dust is trapped in the outer layers of the wool and can therefore be easily cleaned. How to clean: * If the item is large and flat, it can be vacuumed. * If the item is smaller and dirty, gently hand wash it in warm water with wool soap. Dry away from direct sunlight. Do not agitate the item too much during washing as this will promote further felting.
DO NOT soak, machine wash, or put anything in the dryer. This will make the item smell more and it will shrink and distort the item.
NOTE: Plush toys will take longer to dry, so make sure the items are completely dry before using them again. It is recommended to clean them on the surface rather than completely submerging them in water.
