One morning while gardening, Grandpa found Gladys, an ostrich, under the petunias. Or maybe it was Gladys who found Grandpa? It doesn't matter. The old man wonders how she could have ended up at his house. Since then, the ostrich has taken up residence on his head. But the more time passes, the more Grandpa has to face the fact that soon the bird will be too big for his balding head. Which leads him to wonder if the bird wouldn't be better off in its natural habitat.
