Meat dishes can sometimes be a challenge when eating with babies, as the texture of beef or chicken is often more difficult for them to manage, as they don't have the same chewing skills as older children. Slow-cooked, everything becomes very tender, making it easier to offer baby food that they can enjoy more easily. This recipe is very tasty and a hit with the whole family!

Ingredients :

  • About 500g of beef shoulder
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 apple
  • 2 dried and pitted dates
  • 150 ml reduced sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp sweet smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander seeds

Preparation :

  1. Finely chop the garlic and dates, then dice the onion and apple.
  2. Place everything in the slow cooker container.
  3. Lightly brown the beef in a pan in a little unsalted butter, then add the cooking juices to the slow cooker container and mix in the spices.
  4. In a bowl, mix the tomato paste and broth, then pour into the slow cooker container.
  5. Cook on “LOW” for 6 hours.

This recipe can be stored for up to 5 days in the refrigerator and up to 3 months in the freezer.

DME Specifications:

This recipe can be given from 6 months by cutting the apples and dates into larger pieces.
