Few commercially available soft bars contain no sugar, so it's quite difficult to offer them to babies, especially since the texture is often too hard. This recipe is tasty, nutritious, and the sweet potato base provides the perfect consistency for baby to enjoy easily!
Ingredients :
- 2 cups sweet potatoes, cut into small pieces
- 1 1/4 cups oatmeal
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp ground ginger
Preparation :
- Using a food processor, grind the oat flakes into a fine powder.
- Steam the sweet potatoes until very tender and puree them in a food processor.
- Mix the puree with the oats, oil and ginger.
- Place the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and shape into a flat patty.
- Bake at 350F for 25 minutes
- Then cut strips to make bars.
This recipe can be stored for up to 7 days in the refrigerator and up to 3 months in the freezer.
DME Specifications:
