MUFFIN FRANKENSTEINS and their ghost friends 🕷

Why not celebrate Halloween with our babies by putting away all the candy and replacing it with a nutritious yet magical snack? This recipe is super easy to make and will delight your little ones to celebrate the monster festival!
Ingredients :
- 4 frozen spinach balls
- Half an apple
- 1 1/2 cups of pastry flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tbsp. 10% plain yogurt
Preparation:
- Grate the half apple and set aside.
- Defrost the spinach balls and mash them , then mix with the eggs and applesauce.
- Then add the yogurt, the grated half apple and gradually add the flour.
- Mix well until smooth.
- Pour into silicone (or well-greased) muffin molds.
- Bake for 25 minutes at 350F.
To decorate the muffins :
Draw Frankenstein's face with plain yogurt and
raisins or chocolate chips for children.
For ghost friends: Cut a banana in half, dip it in yogurt, and make eyes out of raisins or chocolate chips.
*If you are not using pastry flour, you will need to add about 1 tsp of baking powder and a pinch of salt to the mixture.
This recipe can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days and frozen for up to 3 months.
DME Specifications:
This recipe can be served from 6 months by cutting the muffin in half and serving one half at a time.
Beware of egg and dairy allergens which must be introduced beforehand.
👉🏼 For a sweet tooth, add 1/2 cup of maple syrup to the mix.
Alternatives:
Did you know you can replace eggs with “chia eggs”?
For each egg to be replaced, mix 1 teaspoon of ground chia seeds with 3 tablespoons of room temperature water (water that is too cold slows down the mucilage).
Stir well, and let stand for at least 15 minutes.
You can then use your “chia egg” to replace your egg in a recipe!
