I'm not a big fan of pasta dishes for babies, as I feel there are so many more nutritious meals you can offer them. However, this is a quick and easy dinner that's easy to share, so I incorporated the cheesy flavor my son loves into his macaroni and added salmon and peas for added nutrition. It's nothing new, but everyone loved it!
Ingredients :
- 2 cups cooked pasta (gemelli or shells)
- 3 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 can of 150g salmon
- 1/2 cup peas
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried dill
Preparation :
- Cut the salmon into small pieces and set aside.
- After cooking the pasta, drain it and mix in the cream cheese while it is still hot so that it melts.
- Add the salmon pieces and the peas.
This recipe can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
DME Specifications:
This recipe is suitable for babies from 6 months: for beginners, gemellis are an optimal choice of dough but can remain more difficult to grasp until their pincer grasping skills are somewhat developed. Shells are perfect for babies who have mastered the pincer grasp.
*Always make sure the peas are very tender before giving them to baby: I crush them slightly before serving since care must always be taken with foods that are small and round.
